Munich Airport

The landscape master plan design emphasizes the role of the airport as a place for arrival and departure from Munich and Bavaria.
The grounds are to be developed based on themes found in the multi-faceted Bavarian landscape. Different landscape typology are constructed with artistic abstraction. There are views of the Munich glacial plain with its gravel beds, stylized versions of the hills below the Alps, and stone and rocks from alpine Bavaria. Trees placed with artful cunning, intensify the technical precision of their artificial surroundings in an astonishing way.
