The International Architecture Award 2021

We are very pleased that our project with KSP ENGEL GmbH, the Great Mosque Djamaa El Djazair in Algiers, won the International Architecture Award 2021. The project was completed in 2020 and opened to the public for the first time in autumn last year. As a Friday mosque, it is designed for around 120,000 visitors a day. The mosque, which is considered the landmark of the capital Algiers while being one of the largest in the world, was built on a 26 hectare site in the Bay of Algiers.
